Jill: 7w8 middle age mom still trying to figure out what it's all about: Hi. I had a blog years ago in my 30's. I thought I knew a lot. I had a lot of kids so I was pretty much an expert on parenting--except for one thing. They hadn't grown up yet. Turns out I wasn't such an expert. Turns out a lot of what I did totally sucked, and a couple of my kids have let me know this. What my heart longs for is the days of pregnancy and birth, being at home and nursing babies, days at the park with friends, the times when I could actually fix my kids problems. And yet here I am. 50 years old, middle age, and finding out I don't know much of anything at all. I'm finding out after 27 years of parenting that I'm tired, and I still have 2 kids at home, the youngest being 13--and I homeschool him. I'm finding that somewhere along the way I lost myself, or maybe I never really found her in the first place. So this is my place to explore that, mainly through the lens of the enneagram, some MBTI and Jesus. Oh, and tattoos.
